Add the domain in Shopify
In Shopify admin, open Settings, Domains and choose Connect existing domain.
Enter the .ch domain and open the connection instructions for manual DNS setup.
Copy Shopify’s current root and www targets. Use these live values rather than hard-coded addresses from a guide.
Update olu DNS
Replace conflicting A or AAAA records at the root with the records Shopify asks for.
Set the www CNAME exactly as shown, removing any competing www A or CNAME record.
Keep mail records, verify the connection in Shopify, set the primary domain and wait for TLS to be issued.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep email on the same .ch domain?
Yes. Shopify’s website records and your provider’s MX/TXT email records can coexist. Do not delete the mail records when changing the root and www website entries.
