Verify and connect
In the Microsoft 365 admin centre, open Settings and Domains, add the .ch domain and copy the unique verification TXT record into olu.
After verification, choose the services in use and copy Microsoft’s current MX, Autodiscover CNAME and any requested service records with their exact priorities.
Remove old MX records only when the Microsoft mailboxes are ready, finish the domain check and test externally.
Protect outgoing mail
Publish the Microsoft SPF value, merging it into an existing SPF record rather than creating two.
Enable DKIM for the custom domain and add the two tenant-specific selector CNAME records Microsoft supplies.
Add DMARC after SPF and DKIM pass, initially collecting reports before moving to a stricter policy.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need every record Microsoft lists?
Add the records for the Microsoft services you actually selected. MX, SPF and Autodiscover are common for Exchange Online; other products can require additional CNAME or SRV records.
