Verify the domain, install Google’s current MX records and authenticate outgoing mail.

Verify and route mail
- Add the .ch domain in the Google Admin console and copy its unique TXT verification record into olu.
- After verification, add every MX record shown by Google with the exact priority. Remove old MX records only when all mailboxes are ready to move.
- Wait for Google’s setup check to pass, then send and receive tests with an external address.
Authenticate messages
- Publish Google’s SPF value as TXT. A hostname must have one SPF record, so merge authorised senders instead of adding a second v=spf1 entry.
- Generate DKIM in the Admin console, publish the selector TXT record and then start authentication in Google.
- Add DMARC after SPF and DKIM pass, beginning with a monitoring policy and a mailbox that receives reports.
Frequently asked questions
Will changing MX records move old messages?
No. MX records route new incoming mail only. Migrate historical mail separately before closing the former provider.
